DRF Playbook for Wednesday, September 7, 2022

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
3:09 CNL 4th KENDAMA (#3, 9-2) could be the one to take advantage if they go too strongly in the early and middle stages, and was third in the 2020 renewal of the race. He didn't race for a year-and-a-half and surely got next to nothing out of the comeback start that was rained off turf and in which he barely ran. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:29 CNL 9th PUPPYMONKEYBABY (#9, 10-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Marcus Hersh). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:57 CNL 10th Nicky Bear was coming out of three solid allowance-race tries when he ran down CLARESTOWN (#2, 10-1) Aug. 15 at CNL in a race at this $25K N2L claiming level though, perhaps importantly, at a distance a half-furlong longer than this one-mile contest. There's not just the half-furlong cut-back in trip, but Clarestown's stable-mate Simple Logic might lead here, and C'town might be better off with a target. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
6:40 CBY 2nd DAIGLE (#9, 9-2) seems to save her best for this sod while most recent a nice effort on the front end. There is more pace in this race but that is fine as we know this mare can sit a trip. This mare just likes it when Wade gets a leg up. The half furlong cut back is fine and connections find a good spot as the meet winds down. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
6:53 CNL 12th STAR SHOPPING (#9, 12-1) closed from eighth in a two-turn synthetic route while winning his career debut and in his first 10 starts hadn't come close to contesting the pace, so it's fair to wonder if the trip he got last out -- going head and head for the lead -- was anything like what the horse prefers. Now dropped to lowest level of career, though only $4K less than the last claim price paid. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
7:40 CBY 4th LIZZ A BEE (#5, 6-1) got a confidence boost in her most recent and can put good races together just look at some of those Evangeline efforts in Louisiana. Race flow isn't as fast as her most recent but this mare has run well with an average pace before. Jock switch to Eikleberry might be telling as he is 33% for this barn. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
8:07 RP 1st HONOR GRADUATE (#8, 6-1) gets the nod as a class play. She's one who has been picking up checks against maiden allowance foes. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
8:35 RP 2nd CASHMERE DANCER (#3, 8-1) ran a credible race on the cutback from two turns to one last out and owns the field's best last-race Beyer Speed Figure. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
9:10 CBY 7th JILOTEPEC (#3, 10-1) can steal this at a good number. A pure pace play. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
11:23 RP 8th J C'S NIGHTCAP (#3, 10-1) has tactical speed and is a fresh horse as this marks his first out since June. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
