Dreaminblue was a memorable maiden winner last season at Oaklawn Park. On Friday, he turned in another notable race at the track with his three-length victory over multiple stakes winner Amorosa in the $135,000 Silks. It was another 2 1/4 lengths back in third to Kalahari Dreams. The Silks was a new overnight stakes for 3-year-olds at six furlongs. Dreaminblue ($12.80) won a maiden special weight sprint with a Beyer Speed Figure of 94 last season at Oaklawn. He returned to the local strip Friday, and after sitting just off leaders Sharp Swinger and Amorosa through an opening quarter in 21.58 seconds, he moved up to join that pair while racing three-wide on the turn. Dreaminblue took the lead through a half-mile in 44.90 seconds and went on strongly to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:09.10.
