Dream Shake will shorten up a bit more in Woody Stephens

ELMONT, N.Y. – Dream Shake, whose faced some of the top 3-year-olds in California going long, will cut back in distance when he runs seven furlongs in the Grade 1, $400,000 Woody Stephens on the Belmont Stakes undercard.
Dream Shake finished third behind Life Is Good and Medina Spirit in the Grade 2 San Felipe and was third again behind Rock Your World and Medina Spirit in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby on April 3.
Trainer Peter Eurton cut Dream Shake back to a one-turn mile in the Grade 2 Pat Day Mile, where he came within a head of Jackie’s Warrior when second, 4 1/2 lengths clear of the rest of the field. Jackie’s Warrior will be the Woody Stephens favorite on Saturday.
Eurton noted after the wire Jackie’s Warrior “was done. Our horse galloped out. He’s a hard-knocking colt. We found out our horse is quick.”
