Down Town Allen takes Fancy Buckles for fourth time

Down Town Allen cruised to a four-length victory Saturday night, winning the $50,000 Fancy Buckles Stakes, restricted to West Virginia-bred fillies and mares, for the fourth straight year at Charles Town.
In winning her 18th career stakes, the 7-year-old Down Town Allen ($3) ran 4 1/2 furlongs in 51.88 seconds. Ridden by Matt McGowan for owner-trainer John Casey, Down Town Allen is now 22 for 38 with earnings of 872,067.
A pair of 18-1 shots, Royal Fireworks and The Bop Express, finished second and third. Jax and Jill was a non-threatening fourth as the 9-5 second choice.
