Dover: Live racing to return on Halloween

Live Harness racing returns to Bally's Dover Downs for the upcoming 53rd season on Monday, October 31 and continues through Thursday, March 30.

Dover Downs will conduct an 83-day meet and race Monday through Thursday with a 4:30 pm post time.

Live harness racing will be dark from December 20 through December 26 and return on
December 27.

The Matron Stakes will return to the five-eighths mile oval in Dover, Delaware. All 2-year-old eligibles will compete on Thursday, November 3 and 3-year-old eligibles will compete on Thursday, November 10.

The Progress Pace eliminations and final are scheduled for consecutive weeks on November 17 and November 23.

Delaware Standardbred Breeders' Fund ( DSBF) will also host eliminations and finals at Dover:

2-Year-Olds: 11/7 to 11/16 ($20,000 Elims); 11/21 to 11/23 ($100,000 Finals)

3-year-olds: 11/28 to 12/8 ($20,000 Elims); 12/12 to 12/15 ($100,000 Finals)

Qualifying races are on Wednesdays at 10 am.

The draw schedule for the live racing meet will be as follows:

The box closes at 12 (noon).
