Dotted Line makes it two straight stakes wins in Kingarvie

ETOBICOKE, Ontario - Dotted Line notched his second consecutive win in a Ontario-sired stakes for 2-year-olds in the $100,000 Kingarvie on Wednesday night at Woodbine.
With Justin Stein aboard, Dotted Line linked up on the lead with The Reign Man through moderate fractions in the 1 1/16-mile event.
Dotted Line began to draw off at the eighth pole, and went on to score by 2 ¼ lengths in 1:45.65. Truebelieve came from fifth to nail The Reign Man on the wire for second in the eight-horse field. Dotted Line paid $3.40.
“I thought we’d be forwardly placed,” Stein said. “I rode [The Reign Man] last time, and I thought that he’d show a little speed, so I watched him. This horse was really keen. He’s just a good horse. He wanted to do it today. He likes to win.”
Trained by Sid Attard, Dotted Line had won his previous two races, including the Frost King Stakes. He banked $60,000 for owner-breeder Howard Walton.
Walton also owns Dotted Line’s sire, Signature Red, who stands at stud at Colebrook Farms Stallion Station for a fee of $3,500.
