OCEANPORT, N.J. - Don'tgetsuspicious edged Noisy Feet by a nose in the slop Saturday to capture the $70,000 Miss Woodford Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Monmouth Park. Trained by Scott Lake and ridden by Kendrick Carmouche, Don'tgetsuspicious ($17.80) earned her seventh win in 11 starts, surviving a stewards' inquiry prompted by a very tight stretch run in which she and Noisy Feet raced side-by-side with some contact. Don'tgetsuspicious moved to the lead on the final turn and drifted out in the lane. Noisy Feet rallied with a four-wide move but could not edge past the winner in a game try. It was the first stakes win for Don'tgetsuspicious, a $25,000 claim last December at Laurel. Exe was third followed by Lady Alexander, Northern Belle, Ocean Colors and Koka Kola Kitty. The time was 1:10 for the six furlongs. Kid Kate gets her track Kid Kate loves a wet track. Trained by Chad Brown. Kid Kate has run twice and caught sloppy racetracks both times. She remained unbeaten Saturday with a 3 3/4 -length victory over That's How I Roll in the $60,000 off-the-turf Junior Champion for 2-year-old fillies. In both her races, Kid Kate rallied from far back. In her debut at Saratoga, Kid Kate dropped back to ninth before launching her rally. In the Junior Champion, Kid Kate was fifth of six fillies in the early stages before kicking into gear on the final turn with Elvis Trujillo aboard. She powered through the lane with a four-wide sweep, running a mile in 1:39.58. "I was happy to just sit with her early on and let her settle," Trujillo said. "At the three-eighths pole, I urged her a little, and then turning for home, I asked her and she took off."
