Dont Let Down captures Dash for Cash Futurity

Dont Let Down delivered in the Grade 1, $426,375 Dash for Cash Futurity for Quarter Horses at Lone Star Park on Saturday night, becoming the first favorite to win in the race in nine runnings. Sent to post at 3-5, Dont Let Down drove to a half-length win over First Freeze.

The race was one of two major Quarter Horse stakes on the card. Im a Ramblin Girl ($8.20) won the Grade 1, $193,300 Dash for Cash Derby.

Dont Let Down ($3.20) broke well, was prominent throughout, and covered the 400 yards for 2-year-olds in 19.71 seconds. Juan Vazquez rode the winner for trainer John Buchanan. Dont Let Down earned $170,550 for the win for owner Bobby Cox.

Ima Ramblin Girl led throughout for a half-length win as the favorite in the Dash for Cash Derby. G.R. Carter Jr. rode the winner for trainer Jack Brooks. Ima Ramblin Girl races for Pat and Walt Fletcher.
