From two racing-age crops, Don’t Get Mad’s best runner to date, by earnings, is Louisiana Futurity winner Populist Politics, a son of the Souvenir Copy mare Cedar Summer. He earned $88,095 as a juvenile in 2010.Don’t Get Mad, advertised most recently at Spendthrift with a $3,000 stud fee, will stand at Elite Thoroughbreds for $2,000.Don’t Get Mad won the Grade 2 Indiana Derby and Grade 3 Northern Dancer Breeders’ Cup Stakes in 2005 as the highlights of his racing career. A son of the A.P. Indy horse Stephen Got Even and the Grade 3-placed Jolie’s Halo mare Class on Class, he earned $793,835 from five wins, a second, and a third in 13 career starts. He is a half-brother to stakes winner Barkley Sound.
