Dominus colt sizzles on Day Four of OBS breeze show

Colts by three different sires posted the fastest works at their respective distances during Thursday's fourth session of the under-tack preview for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co.’s spring sale of 2-year-olds in training.

A colt by Dominus worked a furlong, the traditional evaluator for juveniles sales, in 9 3/5 seconds on the Ocala Training Center’s all-weather Safetrack surface. That was not only the fastest time of the session at that distance, it was the fastest of the breeze show thus far.

Dominus, by Smart Strike, was a Grade 2 winner on both dirt and turf. His bullet-working colt, consigned by TIP Thoroughbred Investment Possibilities, as agent, is out of the Came Home mare Super Seller, who has produced four winners from as many starters. The mare is a half-sister to graded stakes winner T.D. Vance, and Grade 1 winners Dancing Spree, Fantastic Find, Finder's Fee, and Furlough appear on the catalog page.

A colt by Daddy Long Legs consigned by Coastal Equine LLC worked the session's fastest quarter in 20 3/5 seconds, while a colt by Two Step Salsa consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, as agent, worked three furlongs in 32 2/5 seconds.

Group 2 winner Daddy Long Legs, by Scat Daddy, began his stud career in Chile – where he has a handful of group stakes performers from his first crop – before being brought to Kentucky due to the intense interest in his sireline. His standout colt is out of the unraced Old Fashioned mare Snow Fashion, whose first starter is a winner.

Two Step Salsa, sire of Grade 1 winner Dance With Fate and Grade 2 winner Conquest Two Step, now stands in Saudi Arabia. His bullet worker is out of the Harlan's Holiday mare Zarlanz, whose dam, graded stakes winner Zawzooth, also produced graded stakes producer Secret Message.
