Dogwood next target for Ailalea

Ailalea, fifth in the Kentucky Oaks last Friday, has remained at Churchill and likely will be pointed to the Grade 3, $100,000 Dogwood Stakes here May 29, said Michael McCarthy, assistant to trainer Todd Pletcher.

Ailalea was one of a handful of stakes horses that stayed behind with Pletcher's Kentucky string. Mission Impazible also has stayed here after running ninth in the Derby and could run next in the Northern Dancer, said McCarthy. Among the Pletcher horses that already have been sent to New York are Devil May Care, Discreetly Mine, Blues Street, Doubles Partner, and Phola.

It's Tea Time, ninth as the third choice in Oaks, was sent to Keeneland to resume her training earlier this week and has no specific race on her immediate agenda, according to Jack Bohannan, assistant to trainer Rusty Arnold.
