Dobbins G takes Will Rogers Stakes

Dobbins G became a stakes winner Tuesday at Will Rogers Downs, darting to a 7 3/4-length victory over Swannyland in the $55,000 Will Rogers Stakes. It was another length back in third to Fearless Will. The Will Rogers was a one-mile race for 3-year-olds bred in Oklahoma.
Dobbins G ($4.60) tracked Fearless Will through fractions of 23.77 seconds for the opening quarter, 47.88 for the half-mile and 1:12.55 for six furlongs before going on to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:38.80.
Jason Eads was aboard for trainer Austin Gustafson.
Dobbins G is a son of Jimmy Creed who races for Michael Mazoch and Linda Mazoch. He was coming off a sixth-place finish in an $75,000 claiming route April 12 at Oaklawn won by Warrior’s Charge, a promising 3-year-old who earned a Beyer Speed Figure of 97.
Dobbins G has now won 2 of 11 starts and earned $88,141.
