Dicey just gets up to win Miranda Diane; gives apprentice Jordan first stakes score

Dicey gave apprentice Kylee Jordan her first career stakes win Monday when she was up for a half-length victory over Ragan’s Jet in the $55,000 Miranda Diane Stakes at Will Rogers Downs. It was another 6 1/2 lengths back in third to Dipping In.
The Miranda Diane was a six-furlong race for fillies and mares bred in Oklahoma. It honors a multiple stakes-winning mare who was a standout at Will Rogers.
Jordan has been a standout at the current meet, where she leads the standings after a pair of four-win days. She was winning her third race on the card in the Miranda Diane.
Dicey ($5.20) raced in the second flight as Casino Queen jumped out to the lead on the sloppy, sealed track and ran the opening quarter in 22.25 seconds and the half-mile in 45.58. Dicey was angled out off the rail into the stretch and gained momentum with each stride to catch Ragan’s Jet near the wire. The winner covered the distance in 1:10.69.
Dicey was winning her third straight race. She is a daughter of Flat Out who races for Jay Lewis and her trainer, Patrick Swan. She has now won 6 of 37 starts for earnings of $328,774.
Jordan registered the first win of her career on May 10, 2021 at Will Rogers, according to statistics from Daily Racing Form. She is riding regularly at both Will Rogers and Oaklawn Park.
Racing at Will Rogers resumes Tuesday. The card includes the the $55,000 TRAO Classic Sprint.
