Diaboloical Dame back with New Mexico-breds in Salazar

Diabolical Dame is back from Del Mar and out to start a new win streak Saturday night in the $60,000 Carlos Salazar at The Downs at Albuquerque. The 6 1/2-furlong race is restricted to fillies and mares bred in New Mexico.
Diabolical Dame won seven straight races in New Mexico before venturing to Del Mar and running fourth in an optional $62,500 claiming race July 27. She’s back at home now, and in her final prep for the Salazar, she worked a bullet five-eighths in 59.80 seconds Aug. 17 at Albuquerque.
It was at Albuquerque last May that Diabolical Dame started her streak, taking the $60,000 Bank of Albuquerque. She won four additional stakes races during her successful run that was capped by a nine-length romp in an optional $20,000 claiming race July 3 at Ruidoso Downs. Alfredo Juarez Jr. has the mount from post 4 for trainer Todd Fincher, who is winning races at a 37 percent clip at this Albuquerque meet.
Other stakes winners making up the field are Indian Tiva, Stormy Day, Stormin Creek, My Bikini Fell Off, Renewed Vows, and My Dandy Girl.
