Diabolical Dame eyes Zia stakes
Diabolical Dame, who led a Todd Fincher-trained superfecta in the $70,000 Carlos Salazar last month at the Downs at Albuquerque, will now target the New Mexico Cup program at Zia Park. Fincher said the mare is being pointed for the $140,000 Distaff, a six-furlong race for New Mexico-breds on Oct. 29. Diabolical Dame is a winner of 14 of 23 starts and she has earned $590,980.
◗ Natalie’s Mischief moves back into the Oklahoma-bred ranks for Wednesday night’s third race at Remington Park after facing Grade 3 rivals in the Iowa Oaks. She finished seventh in that race, one start after running second to multiple stakes winner Chanel’s Legacy in the Panthers at Prairie Meadows. Quincy Hamilton has the mount for trainer Joe Offolter in Wednesday night’s first-level allowance sprint for fillies and mares.
