Delta Downs: Where Is My Daddy goes two turns

Where Is My Daddy, a Cole Norman-trained filly who is undefeated in three starts, will face the toughest test of her career Friday night when she makes her two-turn debut against top Louisiana-bred mares Prized Amberpro and Cute N Noble in the $50,000 Camelia at Delta Downs in Vinton, La.

A 6 1/2-furlong race, the Camelia should produce starters for the $150,000 Premier Night Distaff at Delta on Feb. 7.

Where Is My Daddy has made short work of her rivals in each of her three starts, winning her races by a combined 9 1/4 lengths. In her most recent start, she won a conditioned allowance for statebreds Dec. 19.

A front-runner, Where Is My Daddy might like the added distance she gets in the Camelia, given how strong she has finished in each of her races. Norman, who is winning with 36 percent of his starters at Delta, has given the mount to Carlos Gonzalez.

Prized Amberpro has been one of the top Louisiana-bred mares in training for years and is also the defending champ in the Camelia. In her last start Dec. 13, she was third in the $100,000 Louisiana Champions Day Ladies at Fair Grounds, four lengths behind winner Cute N Noble. Before that race, Prized Amberpro won the $75,000 Magnolia at seven furlongs at Delta.
