Delta Downs track report
Munificence, who finished second to favorite Greater Good in the $100,000 Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn Park on Saturday, returned to the track Wednesday. Munificence is being considered for a return trip to Hot Springs, Ark., for the Grade 3, $250,000 Rebel on March 19.
"He ran really well," said Jim Hudson, who trains the Delta Downs-based Munificence. "I'm very pleased with him."
Hudson said he and owner John Murrell are discussing their next-race options for Munificence. The colt won the first three starts of his career by a combined 15 1/4 lengths before finishing second by three-quarters of a length to Greater Good, one of three top Kentucky Derby candidates based at Oaklawn.
Munificence won the $50,000 Triple Sec at Delta Downs on Jan. 28.
