The undercard of the Jugette on Wednesday afternoon at the Delaware (Ohio) County Fair included Grand Circuit Standardbred stakes races for 2-year-olds of both sexes and gaits.
$27,750 divisions for trotting fillies were won by The Captain's Wife (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.) on the engine in 2:01 and Sevenoops Hanover (Jason Bartlett) from first-up in 1:58 4/5 over a 'sloppy' racetrack.
The Captain's Wife, by Captain Corey and bred by David Wade, Gerald Brittingham and William Peel III, is trained by Vernon Beachy for owners 518 Group LLC. and Ryan Smith. She has four wins, a second and a third from eight starts, has earned $84,043 and paid $3 to win.
Sevenoops Hanover, a daughter of Greenshoe, was sent out by Petter Engblom for owners Engblom Farm LLC., Evans Nation and Hickory Hollow Stables. The Hanover Shoe Farms-bred is a four-time winner from eight outings, has pocketed $70,032 and returned $8.80 to win.
PA Lincoln (Yannick Gingras) took the lead past the 28 second quarter in the $51,700 event for colt and gelding pacers and went on to a 2 1/4 length victory in 1:56 4/5, defeating Atomix Hanover (Anthony MacDonald) and Slinky Dawg (Wrenn Jr.).
Trained by Brian Brown, PA Lincoln is a Mahantongo Farms-bred Sweet Lou colt. Owned by Kirk Nichols, Hutchison Harness LLC., Wayne Mast Jr. and Vincent Urciuoli, PA Lincoln has a summary of 3-1-0 from seven tries, has put away $43,700 and paid $5.40 to win.

Hades Hanover (Brady Brown) put the 29 2/5 quarter and 1:00 4/5 half on the board in the $53,100 tilt for trotting males, but Crimson Crown (Wrenn Jr.) took the lead on the outside from first-up on the way to the 1:30 3/5 three-quarters. Crimson Crown couldn't clear, though, which allowed Hades Hanover to battle back and take the lead before he held off the closing Gaining Muscle (David Miller) to prevail by half a length in 2:01 1/5. Keystone Augusta (Aaron Merriman) grabbed third.
