Rookie fillies on both gaits were in action on Wednesday afternoon in Standardbred splits at the Delaware County Fair. Nomo Volo (Yannick Gingras) won the $40,918 flight for trotters in 1:56 4/5.  She was in command through fractions of 28 3/5, 58, and 1:28, and then used a 28 4/5 final kicker to get home three lengths to the good over Summit City Swan (Ronnie Wrenn Jr.).  Keystone Abbey (Aaron Merriman), Bushy Tails (David Miller), and Meserati (Dan Noble) rounded out the finishers. A daughter of Explosive Matter, Nomo Volo is trained by Jeff Edwards for owners Denise Dennis, Frances Wilson, and Dolne Farm Services LLC.  This was Nomo Volo's third win from ten tries, and she has earned $64,463.  She was the 4-5 favorite and paid $3.60 to win. In the $39,318 dash for the pacers, Chasing Madi (Cameron McCown) shot through to the early lead, but Gingras came up on the outside with Pretty N Fast, and she would clear passing the 27 1/5 opening quarter.  Pretty N Fast would go on to reach the half in 56 2/5 and the three-quarters in 1:25 3/5, but Dragonfly (Aaron Merriman), who had pulled first-up from fourth past the half, was at Pretty N Fast's flank. Dragonfly would get the lead on the outside around the final turn, but Pretty N Fast battled back on the inside to regain a slim advantage in upper stretch.  Dragonfly kept coming, though, and she would edge past to win by a neck in 1:55 4/5.  Hydration (David Miller) came with a late brush to grab third. The victorious Dragon Again filly is trained by Chris McGuire, and he also co-owns her with Brian Carsey and John McGill.  Dragonfly is now a four-time winner, and she has pocketed $35,535.  A 7-1 shot, Dragonfly returned $16.40 to win.
