Del Mar races will appear on FOX Sports on a regular basis in a multi-year arrangement beginning in 2027, according to a statement released on Wednesday by FOX and the New York Racing Association.
Currently, NYRA races are presented on “Saratoga Live” on the FOX Sports 2 network, allowing viewers to closely follow the action on a daily basis. The inclusion of Del Mar races next year will give the program a nationwide format.
Del Mar has been a leading fixture on FanDuel TV since its inception in the late 1990s as TVG. The ongoing Del Mar summer meeting, which runs through Sept. 7, will appear on FanDuel TV, as will the track’s four-week autumn meet from Nov. 6 to Dec. 6.
FanDuel TV is winding down its presence at racetracks this summer and fall, and the network will cease operation at the end of 2027. It curtailed its coverage of many tracks beginning on July 1. Del Mar is one of the few remaining race meetings currently supported with an ontrack presence by FanDuel TV.
On July 4, FOX Sports presented part of the Los Alamitos program that included the Grade 2 Great Lady M Stakes. In Wednesday’s statement, FOX Sports announced that the Grade 1 Pacific Classic at Del Mar on Aug. 22 will be shown on FOX Sports 1. The $1 million Pacific Classic is annually the richest race of the summer meeting.
