Del Mar plans to allow fans in all seats
ARCADIA, Calif. – Del Mar intends to allow 100 percent capacity in seated areas for its summer meeting, which runs from July 16 to Sept. 6, according to a statement released by the track on Friday.
The statement cautioned that terms and conditions of occupancy could change, pending state and local government regulations. California is planning a full-scale reopening of its economy on June 15, which will allow higher occupancy at sports stadiums.
Fans wishing to attend racing at Del Mar must purchase seats in advance through the website DMTC.com/tickets, beginning June 18. The ticket package will include admission and a parking pass. Reserved seat packages can be purchased by phone at (858) 792-4242, beginning June 21.
As of now, face coverings will be required, although the track acknowledged that government guidelines could change.
The track has seating capacity for 14,994. A statement regarding general admission access will be made in coming weeks, the track said.
