DEL MAR PICK 4 (RACE 2-5)

My budget can tolerate six tickets: All As, BAAA, AABA, AAAB, BABB, CAAA, and AACA for a total cost of $78.50.

RACE 2

A's - 3, 7

B's - 1, 4, 6

C's - 5

Was tempted to leave only Hey Cowboy (7) in A column, but will also use inside closer Our Heat (3) in race that should have good pace. Scared of the 1 but drop seems slightly too negative. Want one ticket with improving stretchout price Suances Pride (5).

RACE 3

A's - 2

B's - None

C's - None

Dreamcatcher (2) will make or break this thing. Doubt he's as high as 4-1 morning line, but in any case a long enough price to make him a good singleton. In the best spot of his career today.

RACE 4

A's - 5,6,7,9,10

B's - 1, 4, 8

C's - 2, 3

All these $50K statebred maiden-claimers are somewhere on the ticket. Feel somewhat secure that five As will get it done (probably one of the firsters), but don't want to miss on chance to be live to final leg.

RACE 5

A's - 4,7,11

B's - 3,6,9

C's - None

Lots of pace and a handful of suspect droppers in bottom-level open claimer. Lanida (4) broke slowly from rail in last & would be my top pick with better draw today. Fire sale on Koko Loca (7), which doesn't mean she can't win. Hope Dilly's Dancer (11), the final A, can save some kind of ground from wide draw.
