DEL MAR PICK 3 (RACE 4-6)

Race 4

KEY's - Midnight Crooner, Sebastian Flyte

B's - Oak Kye Why, Mr. Bossy Pants

C's - Surrey Star

MIDNIGHT CROONER scratched to go here instead and figures to get the right type of pace for his big late charge. SEBASTIAN FLYTE finished strongly to be a good 4th vs. more expensive here July 25. He can benefit from that outing and today's drop. OAK KYE WHY came back after over 14 months on the bench to win 2 straight at BHP this spring, has been freshened and has the speed to play come-catch-me. MR. BOSSY PANTS has been sprinting but comes here sharp off a win and his style has always indicated he can handle this longer trip.

Race 5

KEY's - Sir Barclay, Mosso

B's - Anythingtogeteven, Song of the Times

C's - None

SIR BARCLAY dueled and fizzled vs. tougher in his debut. He can benefit from that run and today's significant drop. He's worked well since, too. MOSSO was a sharp 3rd at this level at BHP July 4. He then found straight maidens too tough here July 21 but moves to a better level with 2 nice recent works.

Race 6

KEY's - Zuboff

B's - Floating Feather, Raised a Secret

C's - Master Chef, Door's Open

ZUBOFF has been freshened by a trainer who's good with such a move, takes a significant drop and gets Bejarano. Some solid recent works say he’s ready to go. FLOATING FEATHER was a respectable 4th in a very strong $40K heat so today's drop helps. He's 2 for 4 here. RAISED A SECRET was 3rd in a stakes for 3yos here so he's got some quality. He drops and has run well vs. elders before.
