DMR Pick 3 (Races 5-7)
Race 5
Keys
Dancingtothestars, Charm the Maker
B’s
Maker Or Breaker, Lady Aspen
C’s
None
DANCINGTOTHESTARS comes here razor sharp, having looked super winning a strong turf race. If anything she may be better on this (synthetic) footing. CHARM THE MAKER finished strongly in a sprint here after almost 6 months off, can benefit from that outing and this longer trip. MAKER OR BREAKER fizzled on turf but moves to a better surface and may be the controlling speed.
Race 6
Keys
Gervinho, Gabriel Charles
B’s
Rising Legend, Chief Havoc
C’s
Pure Loyalty, Redwood Kitten
GERVINHO came home gamely to win a division of the Oceanside. He has tactical speed and can finish, a nice combination. GABRIEL CHARLES figures to be rolling late and is eligible to improve as his 2nd to RISING LEGEND in a division of the Oceanside here July 17 was his first start of the year. RISING LEGEND has been quite impressive in his only 2 U.S. starts and off a win here July 17 figures tough. CHIEF HAVOC is a G2 winner on synthetic but remember he handled turf very well in England last year.
Race 7
Keys
Tiz the Key
B’s
Exotic Behavior, Say’s Who, Appearance
C’s
Colonel Joan
TIZ THE KEY was a solid, even 4th in her sprint debut here July 28, chasing a promising Baffert filly (Secret Compass). She figures to benefit from that outing and surely from the move to this longer trip. EXOTIC BEHAVIOR got a feel for the distance on turf here Aug. 7 when 3rd. She handles this footing and has worked well since. SAY’S WHO likewise appears headed the right way as she ran on well in a sprint here Aug. 17 after a sluggish start.
