Del Mar Carryover at $230,217
DEL MAR, Calif. - An otherwise quiet Monday at Del Mar will have an added significance for bettors with a pick six carryover of $230,217.
It is one of the largest one-day pick six carryovers of the year.
Monday's pick six covers the third through eighth races on a program that begins at 2 p.m. There are no stakes on Monday's program, but several races have large fields.
Here is a look at the changes. In the fourth race, Ava's Delight and My Whole Enchilada are scratched from a maiden claimer for fillies and mares over six furlongs that has 10 runners.
In the fifth race, Rubin's Rose is scratched. Run for 3-year-old fillies over six furlongs, the race is for $14,000 to $16,000 claimers.
In the sixth race, Doc's Allowance is withdrawn, leaving a field of eight in a one-mile allowance race.
There is a significant scratch in the seventh race. Dance Dreamer, a winner of 2 of 3 starts at Hollywood Park, has been withdrawn in favor of the Escondido Handicap on Wednesday. Blue Stellar and Night Life head an allowance race on turf over 1 1-16 miles.
In the eighth race, the also-eligibles In Season and Tony's Loc will not start. There are 10 California-breds for a mile race entered for $9,000 to $10,000 claimers.
