Dropping in class from the Grade 2 Barbara Fritchie Handicap, Access Fee ($2.40) held a narrow lead heading into the stretch of Saturday's $50,000 Primonetta Stakes at Laurel Park, but settled for a dead heat after dueling to the wire with Cammy's Choice ($3). All Giving was another 1 1/4 lengths back in third in the six-furlong race for fillies and mares, 3 years old and up. Ridden by Luis Garcia, Access Fee chased Fancy Diamond through an opening quarter in 21.76 seconds, then took over the lead through a 44.73 half. Cammy's Choice and jockey Julian Pimentel came up to challenge Access Fee leaving the turn, and the pair battled down the stretch before both stopped the timer in 1:09.70 on a fast track. The 4-year-old Access Fee improved her Laurel Park record to 5 for 6 for trainer Larry Murray, while Cammy's Choice shipped from Philadelphia Park to capture her Laurel debut for trainer Edward Lehman. The scratches of What Time It Is and Mysterious Bandit reduced the field to seven.
