Dayton: Potential $5,000 guaranteed payout part of new wager

To kick off its final month of racing for the 2020 season, Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway will introduce a new wager with a fan-friendly takeout and high payout potential.

Beginning Tuesday, December 1, the Dayton Jackpot Pick-5 with a low 12% takeout will be offered on the final five races of each program (normally races 10-14). The base price for the Jackpot Pick-5 will be .20 cents and if there are no unique ticket winners a consolation payout of 50% of the daily wagering pool will be made to those with the most winners. The remaining 50% of the daily pool will be carried over to the Jackpot payout pool.

To kickstart the new wager, the Ohio Harness Horsemen's Association and USTA Strategic Wagering Platform will offer a guaranteed $5,000 minimum payout for a unique winning ticket. Free program pages for the Jackpot Pick 5 races will be available via a link on the USTA's web homepage.

Post time for the December 1 card is 1:30 p.m. (Eastern) with a tenth race approximate post time of 4:30 p.m. A mandatory payout of the Jackpot Pick 5 will be required if there is a carryover pool as of Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway's December 30 closing date for its 2020 race season.
