Attracted some support for his debut after some promising workouts, and chased throughout in a maiden special weight sprint that featured a faster pace than the Grade 3 Toboggan Stakes earlier on the card.

Coming off a front-running win over preliminary allowance routers, he was expected to set the pace stepping up to the next level, but missed the break and rallied wide into the stretch, bearing in under pressure under an apprentice rider to narrowly miss in a three-way photo. Justifiably taken down, but this was a good try considering the early trouble.
