The Emirates Racing Authority announced its Dubai International Racing Carnival schedule for 2010 on Tuesday. The 17-race, $4.1 million program, which will be run at the glittering new facility at Meydan, will kick off as usual with Round 1 of the Maktoum Challenge. The one-mile, Group 3 race, worth $200,000, will be the opening night feature at Meydan and will be run on the track's new synthetic Tapeta surface. The highlight of the Carnival, which leads up to Dubai World Cup Night on March 27, will come on March 4, Super Thursday, when course and distance preps for all six of the big races on Dubai World Cup Night will be run. Both the synthetic track and the turf course, which has been built outside of the synthetic track, will open for training on Oct. 31.
