Damion E.T. will try to take advantage of slightly easier company when he faces a full field of 2-year-old Indiana-bred and Indiana-sired colts and geldings in the $84,000 Crown Ambassador at Hoosier Park on Sunday. Trained by Stephen Fosdick, Damion E.T. came from eighth in the early going to draw off and win by seven lengths in a maiden race Sept. 22 locally. In his last out Oct. 2 in the Indiana Futurity, Damion E.T. finished third but was disqualified and placed ninth for breaking inward at the start and bothering multiple foes. The Indiana Futurity was for Indiana-breds, less restrictive than Sunday’s race, which means the Crown Ambassador should be an easier spot. Tommy Turner retains the mount. There is plenty of speed in the six-furlong Crown Ambassador and Adios Dwight appears to be one of those on or pressing for the lead early. Trained by Tianna Richardville. Adios Dwight was beaten by three-quarters of a length in his maiden debut Sept. 11 after leading most of the way. He won his maiden Oct. 14 after being kept just off the early pace by jockey Leandro Goncalves, drawing off to win by 2 1/2 lengths. Goncalves retains the mount. Three others in the field – Rumors Everywhere, Short Sale, and Wintermoonjustice – have a maiden victory to their credit. Handsome Hankers, Ferdies Got It, Stamp It Ida, Run With Ferdie, Osceora, I See Shark, and X Playboy complete the lineup.
