Daffodil Sweet stays perfect with easy six-length win in Coca Cola Stakes

Daffodil Sweet remained undefeated and untested in three starts with an easy six-length victory over For You Only in the $40,00 Coca-Cola Stakes at Emerald Downs on Thursday evening.
She paid $2.80 for her dominating victory in the 6 1/2-furlong dash for 3-year-old fillies.
With Juan Gutierrez aboard, she broke a step slow from the inside post, but soon engaged For You Only for the lead. She held a two-length advantage while posting a half-mile time of 45.15 seconds and was ridden out while drawing off to win decisively. Windy Point rallied to finish third in the five-horse field.
The final time was 1:16.86.

A California-bred daughter of Ministers Wild Cat, Daffodil Sweet is trained by Chris Stenslie. She races for One Horse Will Do Corporation (Jody Peetz) and Steve Shimizu.
In the co-featured $40,000 Seattle Slew Stakes, Unmachable came from last to edge Gold Crusher by a half-length in the 6 1/2-furlong sprint for 3-year-old colts and geldings. Muncey finished third in the seven-horse field.
Ridden by Javier Matias, the Washington-bred son of Mucho Macho Man posted a final time of 1:15.84.
Trained by Jack McCartney, he races for Tawnja Elison.
