Dacita sidelined for rest of year

Barbara D. Livingston Dacita, left, charges past the pack to win the Diana Stakes at Saratoga on Saturday.
ELMONT, N.Y. – The multiple stakes winner Dacita will not make the Breeders’ Cup, trainer Chad Brown said, owing to a physical issue that will sideline her for the remainder of 2016.
Dacita won the Grade 1 Diana at Saratoga and the Grade 2 New York this year and most recently finished second by a nose in the Grade 2 Canadian at Woodbine.
Brown said Dacita would need about 60 days off, but he hopes to get her back to the races next year.
Dacita was a multiple Group 1 winner in Chile before coming to the U.S. She is owned by Sheep Pond Partners and Bradley Thoroughbreds.
