Customerexperience wins a Dec. 11 allowance at Aqueduct Racetrack
Adam Coglianese/NYRA Customerexperience wins a starter allowance on Dec. 11 at Aqueduct.

Customerexperience knows the claiming game well as a 3-year-old filly who has been claimed four times in nine career starts.

But she won’t be changing barns Friday at Aqueduct.

Customerexperience moves into the first-level allowance ranks in the featured eighth race. The one-turn mile is for fillies and mares, and drew a field of 11.

A good deal of attention will be focused on both Am Impazible, a winner of her last three starts, and South of the Shore, a talented mare making her first start since August 2019.

Customerexperience has had the attention of horsemen throughout her career. The daughter of Cairo Prince was claimed out of her winning debut for $75,000 in November 2019 at Aqueduct. She’s since been taken for $25,000, $20,000, and $35,000. Of the claims, Customerexperience been haltered twice by her current trainer, Rudy Rodriguez.

“She’s a useful filly,” he said. “She tries. She’s got a big heart. You want to claim a horse that tries.”

Customerexperience last raced Dec. 11, winning a $50,000 starter allowance at this distance at Aqueduct. She sat off the pace and went on to a 2 3/4-length victory – the third of her career.

“She won pretty impressively that day, and it doesn’t look like she used herself that much,” Rodriguez said. “That’s why we decided to run her back.”

Kendrick Carmouche has the mount from post 2.

Am Impazible will break from the rail for her first start outside the New York-bred ranks. She’s built her streak exclusively at Aqueduct, winning a maiden special weight and a first-level allowance late last year, then accounting for a second-level allowance in her most recent start Feb. 14. In her final major drill for her return, Am Impazible worked a bullet five-eighths in 1:00.80 on Nov. 29 at Belmont. Eric Cancel has the mount for trainer Kelly Breen.

South of the Shore owns some of the field’s best Beyer Speed Figures, pairing up numbers in the 80s when second in back-to-back first-level allowances in her most recent starts. Jose Lezcano has the mount for trainer Todd Pletcher.
