Trainer Ron Burke bagged both of Sunday afternoon's $70,000 Kentucky Sires Stakes finals for 3-year-old pacers at Cumberland Run, annexing the filly flight with Hungry For Love and the colt and gelding tilt with Tip Top Cat.
Hungry For Love (David Miller) bided her time in third while Two Pistol Annie (Andy Miller) cut a 27 second quarter and a 56 1/5 half, but past the latter station Hungry For Love attacked two-wide, and she was able to clear Two Pistol Annie prior to the 1:23 4/5 three-quarters. Hungry For Love couldn't be caught from there, as a 28 2/5 final kicker got her to the finish line 2 1/2 lengths ahead of Let's Misbehave (Marvin Luna) in a 1:52 1/5 mile. Keep My Secret (Tony Hall) collected third.
A daughter of Stay Hungry bred by Brittany Farms, Hungry For Love is trained by Burke for owners Thomas and Scott Dillon. She won for the 12th time in 30 lifetime tries, has banked $390,701 and paid $2.56 to win as the favorite.

Tip Top Cat (Chris Page) left from post six in the final for the boys and moved up on the outside to wrestle the top spot away from For Once Inmy Life (Hall) after the 27 1/5 opening quarter. Once he had command, Tip Top Cat would go on to click off the half in 56 1/5 and the three-quarters in 1:23 3/5 and kept clear in a 28 1/5 last panel to defeat Kopi Luwak (A. Miller) by 2 1/2 lengths in a 1:51 4/5 performance. Vici (Devon Tharps) advanced from sixth to third in the final quarter.
The winner is an Always B Miki colt trained by Burke for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Weaver Bruscemi LLC., Frank Canzone and Larry Karr. Bred by Steve Stewart and John Carver, Tip Top Cat has a record of 7-7-3 from 27 appearances, sent his earnings to $299,271 and returned $4.98 to win as the public choice.
