CTHS British Columbia yearling and mixed sale now online

The catalog for the 2015 Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society’s British Columbia Division yearling and mixed sale is now available online, with 91 offerings entered.

The auction will be held Wednesday, Sept. 9 at the Thunderbird Show Park in Langley, B.C., beginning at 3 p.m. Pacific. The preview day will be held the preceding day at 3 p.m.

A total of 88 yearlings are included in this year’s renewal, with all but two being British Columbia-breds. The two outsiders were bred in Kentucky. The auction also features one horse of racing age and two in-foal broodmares.

Three stallions are represented by their first yearlings in the auction: Kentucky sire Hansen, California-based Coil, and British Columbia resident Numaany. A mare in the mixed portion also sells in foal to debuting British Columbia sire Shrug.
