CTHS Alberta sale catalog now online

The catalog for the 2016 Canadian Thoroughbred Horse Society Alberta Division sale is now online, with 112 horses on offer.

The mixed auction will be held Sunday, Sept. 18, at the Northlands Park Expo Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, beginning at 1 p.m. Mountain.

This year’s catalog features 105 yearlings, five broodmares, a weanling, and a 2-year-old.

Canadian-bred graduates of the CTHS Alberta sale are eligible for the CTHS Western Sales Stakes Series, which consists of nine races among the various age and sex divisions in Alberta, British Columbia, and Manitoba, totaling $280,000 in 2016.

Stallions whose first yearlings are represented in the Alberta catalog include Big Lightning, Champ Pegasus, Fort Larned, and I Want Revenge.

A pair of first-year covering sires have mares in foal in this year’s catalog: Declassify and Edison.
