Crescentcitypretty tops Azalea

Crescentcitypretty figures to start as a strong favorite in Friday night’s $70,000 Azalea at Delta Downs.

The seven-furlong race, which will be run around two turns, is restricted Louisiana-bred 3-year-old fillies who have not won a stakes race.

Crescentcitypretty is one of three stakes-placed starters in the field of seven. She exits a third-place finish in the $100,000 Louisiana Premier Night Starlet at Delta on Feb. 9. She set the pace before being overtaken by stakes winners Goodprofit and Midnight Fantasy. The Beyer Speed Figure of 68 that Crescentcitypretty earned is the best career number in the Azalea. Diego Saenz has the mount for Brittlyn Stable and trainer Jose Camejo.
