Crafty Prospector dies at age 31

The Brookdale Farm stallion Crafty Prospector died Saturday age 31, according to a release from the farm. Crafty Prospector had stood at Brookdale in Versailles, Ky., since moving from Florida in 1990.

The property of a syndicate, Crafty Prospector has sired the earners of more than $94 million, according to Brookdale. Crafty Prospector sired Agnes Digital, a Japanese champion who earned more than $8 million; graded stakes winners Miss Golden Circle and Crafty C.T.; and the millionaire Crafty Shaw.

By Mr. Prospector and out of the In Reality mare Real Crafty Lady, Crafty Prospector had been pensioned since 2007.
