Cozy Time beats favorite

Cozy Time ($40.60) came back for a head win over 2-5 favorite Thunder Mission in the $54,500 Lookout Stakes at Delta Downs on Friday night. The one-mile race was one of two stakes on the card, and both were restricted to horses who had never won a stakes.

Cozy Time set fractions of 23.21 seconds for the opening quarter, 48.21 for the half-mile mark, and 1:13.71 for six furlongs. He lost the advantage to Thunder Mission after that, but came back for the win, covering the distance in 1:40.62.

Wilfredo Lozano Jr. rode Cozy Time for Marvin Willits, who bred, owns, and trains the horse.

* Kathleens Reel ($9) was prominent throughout in the $55,000 Prime Rewards for fillies and mares, winning by 2 3/4 lengths over Jersey Bond. She covered the mile in 1:40.13. Shane Laviolette was aboard for Eagle Valley Farm and trainer Ray Sabille.
