Count the Change at short price in Wednesday feature
Count the Change is going to be a short price when she runs in a $12,500 claiming race for fillies and mares at Northlands on Wednesday. The one-mile race attracted six horses and goes as race 2 on an eight-race card that begins at 6:30 p.m. Mountain.
KEY CONTENDERS
Count the Change (Last 3 Beyers: 67-40-65)
◗ In her first start after being claimed by leading trainer Greg Tracy, she was an easy winner at this level and distance July 9 with Rico Walcott aboard.
◗ She drew the rail, and Walcott likely will put her into a stalking position behind Momma’s Gone Wild.
Momma’s Gone Wild (Last 3 Beyers: 34-43-33)
◗ Trained by Rod Cone, Momma’s Gone Wild is the main speed, and she won the only time she tried a middle distance.
FORMULATOR FACT: Over the past five years, Cone has won with 15 percent of his starters who were going from a sprint to a route.
