* An article about a new racetrack being built near Detroit, Pinnacle Race Course, misspelled the surname of the track's racing secretary. He is Denver Beckner, not Becker.

* An account of Friday's First Flight Handicap at Belmont Park misstated the number of times trainer Allen Jerkens has won the race. Friday's victory was his sixth, not fifth.
