Conveyance sold to sheikh

Glenye Cain Oakford|Jan 14, 2010

Thoroughbred Legends has sold its promising juvenile Conveyance to Sheikh Rashid al-Maktoum's Zabeel Racing, bloodstock agent Omar Trevino announced Wednesday.

A 3-year-old Indian Charlie colt, Conveyance won his two starts last year, most recently running away from a Hollywood Park allowance field by seven lengths on Nov. 25.

Trevino said the colt would remain in training with Bob Baffert in California.

Thoroughbred Legends purchased Conveyance for $240,000 at the 2008 Keeneland September yearling sale, where he was sold by the Tayor Made Sales agency. He has earned $44,400 and is entered in Saturday's San Rafael Stakes at Santa Anita.

Conveyance is out of the Holy Bull mare Emptythetill.

Sheikh Rashid is the oldest son of Darley Stable owner Sheikh Mohammed al-Maktoum.
