Consistent Repeat the Heat looking for a second win

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Repeat the Heat is one of the two Ontario-sired runners who will compete without a claiming price in Friday’s seventh race at Woodbine for nonwinners of two. The son of Silent Name is dropping in class in the 1 1/16-mile event.
Repeat the Heat was competitive in all seven of his starts here this year. He graduated going long on the inner turf in July and finished a close third in his second try at this conditioned class Sept. 30 on the Tapeta.
Most recently, Repeat the Heat was beaten just 2 1/2 lengths when sixth in a fast-paced route combining nonwinners of two allowance types with $50,000 claiming 3-year-olds.

Civaci won four races last Sunday, including the Grade 2 Kennedy Road on Candy Overload. He is tied for seventh in the standings with 54 wins heading into the penultimate week of the meet.
Shamateur may go favored in the feature. A homebred owned by Stronach Stables, the son of Queen’s Plate winner Shaman Ghost finished up the track in two legs of this year’s Canadian Triple Crown, the Plate and Breeders’ Stakes.
