Conquest Tsunami’s plans uncertain

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – Trainer Mark Casse has yet to pick out the next race for his sensational 2-year-old Conquest Tsunami, who won the $148,250 Victoria Stakes by 7 3/4 lengths with an 80 Beyer Speed Figure last Saturday at Woodbine. Conquest Tsunami, an Ontario-bred colt by Stormy Atlantic owned by Conquest Stables, has captured his two races by a combined 14 lengths.
“I want to stretch him out some,” Casse said. “For now, he’s going to sit there at Woodbine, but there’s a chance we might ship him to California for the Del Mar Futurity. We have high hopes for him, and we’re hoping that he’s a Breeders’ Cup horse.”
Conquest Stables struck again here last Sunday, when Conquest Top Gun took the $148,250 Victoria Park Stakes as the heavy favorite. The most accomplished Conquest Stable runner, Grade 1 winner My Conquestadory, is headed for the $1 million Belmont Oaks for 3-year-old fillies going 1 1/4 miles on grass July 5.
