Competitive Edge moving to Valor Farm in Texas

Grade 1 winner and young sire Competitive Edge has been purchased by Douglas Scharbauer to stand at Valor Farm in Pilot Point, Texas. The son of Super Saver had stood at Coolmore’s Ashford Stud.

Competitive Edge, winner of the Grade 1 Hopeful as a juvenile and Grade 3 Pat Day Mile the following spring, finished sixth nationally in last year’s strong freshman sire class. He ranks 14th on the second-crop sire list. He is the sire of Puerto Rican Group 2 winner Majestic Gold; stakes winners Fierce Lady, My Italian Rabbi, and Sassy Seneca; graded stakes-placed Edgeway and Reagan’s Edge; and stakes-placed Competitive Idea, Competitive Saint, Edge of Okotoks, Edge to Edge, Majestic Edge, and Soy Motivada.
