Company lines point to Weisser in allowance

Three promising 3-year-olds, each coming off a one-sided victory, likely will vie for favoritism in Friday’s $40,000 main event at Gulfstream Park, a first-level allowance/optional claimer at a mile and restricted to Florida-breds.
Weisser is likely to be favored and appears to be the one to catch after a wire-to-wire 4 1/4-length maiden win May 12 in his second start. The homebred son of Brethren, trained by Stanley Gold for Arindel, raced on Lasix for the first time while making his 3-year-old debut and withstood early pace pressure to win impressively. The effort was flattered when Transitive, whom Weisser had dueled into submission, returned to post an easy maiden win several weeks later.
Always a Dreamer returned to the selling ranks to post an 8 3/4-length victory going a mile May 28 and earned an 80 Beyer Speed Figure, tops in Friday’s field. Fog Warning is the only undefeated entrant, having launched his career with a 4 1/4-length win at Tampa Bay Downs on April 4.
Real Fast Music figures to prompt the early running after breaking from the rail and is coming off a big effort, a neck loss against open allowance company while making his local debut May 11.
King Wildcat, who with Always a Dreamer are the only entrants with multiple wins, and Winking At Thedude complete the field of six.
