Come to Mischief romps as longshot in My Dear

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – The debuting longshot Come to Mischief went right to the front and never looked back to take the $125,000 My Dear Stakes convincingly Sunday at Woodbine.
Come to Mischief ($39.40) broke alertly from the one hole before setting an opening quarter in 22.14 seconds in the five-furlong dash for 2-year-old fillies. She drew away in the stretch to prevail by six lengths over Avisionofchocolate in a time of 57.19.
Conquest Soprano was along for third after lacking room on the turn, while the favored Maymont was a wide sixth in the seven-horse race.
Tyler Pizarro rode the Nick Gonzalez-trained Come to Mischief, who earned $75,000 for Horse’n Around Racing Stable and Martha Gonzalez.
“I didn’t really know much about her,” Pizarro said. “Martha said she’s pretty quick in the morning and to keep her calm and cool in the post parade and give her a good warm-up. It’s been a speed-favoring track all day, and she broke sharply and just carried on. She’s a very nice filly.”
