Columbus: Super Call wins after bump

Super Call overcame a bumping incident through the second turn of the three-turn Van Berg Derby at a mile and 70 yards to claim his first career stakes win at Columbus. Ridden by Dennis Collins for trainer Lalita Ontiveros, Super Call rallied from more than four lengths back at the furlong marker to claim the nose win in 1:47.40 over a fast track. He returned $5 as the favorite in a field of five.
