Columbus: Five straight for 'Dazzler'

Bevys Dazzler extended his win streak to five straight as he captured the $15,500 Columbus Breeders' Special for Nebraska-bred colts and geldings by a widening 2 1/2 lengths. Ridden by by Jerry Carkeek for trainer Herb Riecken, Bevys Dazzler ($19.60) covered the 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:20.60 over a fast track.

In the $15,190 Breeders' Special for fillies, Polka Palace, also trained by Riecken, rallied from last in a field of four to post a $10.80 win under R. D. Williams. She covered the 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:23.60, defeating the 6-5 favorite, Any Dream Will Do, by a length.
