Colonial: Dubleo does it again

Odds-on choice Dubleo, shipped in by New York-based trainer Todd Pletcher, won the $50,000 Chenery for 2-year-olds at Colonial Downs.

Dubleo set the pace under pressure from Late Night Lover, shook clear in upper stretch, and then held off the closing kick of Black Tie to win by three-quarters of a length. Dubleo, ridden by Hector Karamanos, ran the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:05.71 on a sloppy surface and paid $3.60. It was the second time Pletcher shipped him in to Colonial Downs and won.
